google wi-fi hotspots to find ones local to you. there are more and more public hotspots becoming available, free or paid for. when in a wifi area, go into wifi settings and tap the network (padlocked ones are locked and will require a password to access). you might then need to go into safari, where a page should load up for you to either log into or enter credit card details to pay for access.

If your iPod continues searching for a network, then there are none in range. Safari is not going to work unless you are connected to a network. Be advised, there are two types of networks - open and locked. Without the proper password, you will not be able to connect to a locked network.

You need to go somewhere that has a WiFi network set up. Coffee shops, libraries, etc. - all good places to look.

Hello Anna it's me again.
I live in an area where Hot Spots are few and far between, similarly BT Openzone. I was in an hotel in swansea last weekend thought I'd try for a hot spot and a response came back 'complements of hotel'.

unfortunately got no further than that. Should I have been able to click on some thing to get the opportunity to enter email account. I have mobile me.
