That is standard spammer crap that is trying to fool you into buying software you don't need or getting you to download malware and install it onto your computer.

There is no way for them to scan your computer over http (web browser) and determine that there is anything on your computer. It's just a scam.
Ignore it and go to Safari menu and select "Block Pop-up Windows."

If you still feel the need to scan your computer for non-existent threats, try [ClamXav|http://www.clamxav.com>

You can try http://www.clamxav.com/. It is "free" and will not burden you mac. If you also have windows installed under boot camp, VM, parallels you should have a av just for windows. I use http://www.avast.com/, it is also free. Currently macs can not get windows viruses, but some day maybe. Most of those popups are a scam. Good luck

The pop up you saw just trying to get you to purchase their software. Ignore it. If you are using Safari, go to Safari in the Menu Bar, then click: Block Pop Up Windows.

There are no known Mac viruses. But since you are running Windows, you need anti-virus software.

I would never suggest Norton A/V software for the Mac, however, this software offers protection technology and anti-virus for Mac users running Boot Camp or Windows virtualization software.

ClamXav is strictly anti-virus software for the Mac.
