Facebook won't load

Using my home broadband and Facebook all of a sudden won't load in Safari, tested other websites like Apple and Google and they load fine, contacted ISP and they report no problems. Then tried my using my 3G wireless card, but Facebook loads on Safari ok???? Haven't changed any settings at all and bit bemused to why it's just facebook that is causing me problems!

mac book pro, Mac OS X (10.4.11), 2Gb ram, 100GB hard drive

Do you get an error message via broadband?

the message i get is

"Safari can’t open the page.
Safari could not open the page “ http://www.facebook.com/” because the server is not responding."

Try empty the cache from Safari in the menu bar.

My brother is having a similar problem. Just bought a new aluminum MacBook and when surfing wirelessly, his Facebook profile page won't fully load and he can utilize Facebook chat at all. But if he plugs in directly via ethernet, it works fine. This is the case regardless of which browser he uses (Camino, Firefox, Safari).

He's using a Bellsouth DSL modem with a Netgear WGR614 v.4 wireless router.
