Bettery charging

Is it good for the battery in the iphone to get down to halfway and then charge it back up all the way? The reason I ask is after about 2 days my battery is still halfway charged but I dont want to be out away from my car or house and have my battery die so I guess my question is should I let it drain more than halfway or will that make the battery have a memory at half full? Or let it drain down over the weekend to make it get a full charge? Any help would be appreciated.

I have charged alot of lithium ion batteries for alot of different devices, and I have never noticed any difference AT ALL in battery life (how long a battery can continue to keep holding a good, long lasting charge), based on how drained the battery is when I charged it back up. Simply put, it shouldn't matter whether your battery is near full, half full, or downright dead when you decide to recharge it. This is just my 2 cents based on my own experiences though.
