EXPLODING CD

Hello, ok heres the deal... I put a cd in and it started spinning and then shattered in the drive soo i went to compusa and they fixed it... but I Just recently restore my hardrive and now the new drive wont burn discs and it will burn part of the information and then right at the end of burning an error message pops up "no volumes on this disc can be read by OS X" something similar to that message! .... and also when i try to eject the cd it will disappear off the desktop but it doesnt eject! WHAT THE HECK SHOULD I DO??? i will be grateful for any advice!!
