Oxygen 8 midi troubles.

Go to Applications/Utilities and open *Audio Midi Setup*. There you can configure your setup.

Did you download the "legacy" 3.2.3 driver for OS 10.5.6 from the M-Audio website?

If it's an Oxygen 8 V2 it doesn't need a driver, try another USB port, if it's a new laptop not all USB ports are full power.

I seem to be having similar trouble getting oxygen8 (legacy) to run in OS X 10.5.7. I have downloaded the latest drivers from m-audio and the keyboard is recognized in the audio midi setup and gone through the knowledgebase on m-audio's site, but it does not seem to register input or output from the keyboard.
Have you been able to get your oxygen 8 to work?

I'm experiencing the same problem...

I update to 10.5.7 download and install the 10.5.7 combo update:

After the update, I Repaired permissions.

I then uninstalled and re-installed the M-Audio 3.2.3 driver. Oxygen 8 keyboard is still not responsive with Logic Pro 8 since update to 10.5.7?

I'm having this same problem with 10.5.7. I've installed the latest drivers (3.2.3) and the keyboard powers on, but it is not found when I try and do the midi setup. I've tried all the suggestions above as well. Any more suggestions would be appreciated.

After hours of fine combing forums, I have gotten my Oxygen (V1) to work on my Mac Mini (March09). It was detected in MIDI settings but no signals were recieved when I played. Also, neither Reason, Logic nor Garageband could detect it. Now they do!

There seems to be a problem with USB powering of Oxygen 8 of newer versions of the unibody, mac mini and iMac - according to forum posts. The simple fix is to do the opposite of recommendations of m-audio and use a usb port of a powered usb hub.

For me, I worked as soon as I inserted it into my apple keyboard.

Wow... the other day I inserted a 2GB USB stick (hardly a powerguzzler) into the keyboard USB hub of a 2009 iMac, and I got a message saying 'not enough power on this hub', but when you put a MIDIkeyboard on it there is no problem...? Impressive. And puzzling.

Puzzling indeed! The problem of insufficient power through the USBs of the computer, but sufficient in the keyboard, which is attached to the USB of the computer. Weird.

I tried plugging mine into a 4 port (unpowered) USB hub, and I got nothing. I then tried using the DC input to power the keyboard with the same result. So apparently it has to be a powered usb device.

I borrowed a powered USB hub and it didn't work, as well.

I'm sorry to hear it didn't work with the usb-hub, guys.
Maybe I'm stating the obvious, but check the m-audio forums. Tech help (user JA) has a lot of ideas of how to solve the issue.
