Has anyone had issues with iHeart not connecting? I listen to my favorite station every morning and today it will not connect. I've restarted, reinstalled, etc. and it just says connecting and never connects. Anyone have any suggestions?
Ok....a week later and still having the issue. Not as bad as that first day last week. Sometimes it loads just fine and then goes into "buffering" and I have to quit the app and then it still just does the "buffering" and never reconnects.
Same issue here in Tampa. Several people I know who also have this app have removed it due to the same "Buffering" issue. Look at any of the most recent reviews on iTunes & you'll see that we're not the only ones who aren't able to use this proggie. This use to be a great app but apparently "Clear Channel" could care less about resolving this issue, or they would have done so already. I'd suggest trying AOL Radio as a substitute until iHeart hopefully gets some needed service or a replacement comes along.
Have you had the issue since reinstalling it or do you have to do it each time you listen? Does anyone know if there is a way to contact iHeart to let them know of the issue other than reviewing the app?
My problem has been the fact that it'll say "can't connect" then will finally let me get to the stations. I click on the station I want and then the app completely shuts down. Has anyone else had that issue?
Im in this as well. The app usually loads up fine, but it sometimes says it can not continue. For the most part it just continuously says it is Buffering
i have to reinstall it each time. i've looked all over the place for a way to contact them, but the only thing i could find was a generic feedback form, which i filled out describing the problem. it would be such a great application if it actually worked properly.
OK...so several weeks have passed....and this is getting worse. Today it will not let me on. Still buffering....deleted app.....reinstalled....still a no go. I've noticed in my searching of the net....that most of these issues we are all having started about the time that iheart became available for the blackberry.......
I have been having trouble the last couple of days, here in Houston and I use my WiFi. I have rebooted and reloaded the app serveral times, after reloading it stays connected for about 30 minutes then drops off and goes into buffering forever. I am temporarily using Flycast to listen to some of my talkradio programs. Maybe Apple-Iphone is having trouble with their servers for this feature because everything else on my 3G phone works perfect.
Apple has no servers for the iHeart application, nor do they have anything to do with the actual App, other than the fact it is sold on the Apps Store. These are Clear Commercial, er Communications servers and their app.
it seems to at least be working partially today. it buffers for about 10 seconds, plays for 5, buffers for 10, plays for 5... and this is all on an 8mbps cable connection. it is definitely a problem on clearchannel's end. the thing that really irritates me is that with the station i listen to the most, the online browser-based stream always gives a connection error, and i don't get very good over-the-air reception either. so before iheartradio stopped working, it was basically the only way to listen. things like this make me wonder how many companies even care enough to test and retest their own products.
