iPhone - not enough access privileges

I have an occasional problem sync'ing my wife's iPhone on our Mac. When I try, I get the following error: "The iPhone cannot be synced. You do not have enough access privileges for this operation". I'm using a shared file and have read/write access for all users/files. Any advice would be appreciated.

This is common when transferring photos from your Mac via the iTunes sync process when there is a problem with the iPod Photo cache on your Mac.
