Can't connect wirelessly to Verizon FiOS router

Hi, I have a MacBook Pro 17", and an iBook G4 12", and neither of them will connect to the internet wirelessly. It's a Verizon FiOS wireless router, and when I connect either of them through an ethernet cable directly to the router, it works perfectly. But when I disconnect it and try to connect wirelessly, it recognizes the network and has a full signal, but when I open Safari, it says not connected to the internet. My iPhone also will not connect to the internet. I called Verizon but they said because it connects through ethernet, its not their problem. Any suggestions? Thanks for any help, this is driving me crazy!

Welcome to Apple Discussions:
I don't have FIOS yet, but it's close.
What you probably need to do is access the router GUI from your computer and check the WiFi settings. It may be partially disabled or you may need to verify/change some WiFi settings.
My Verizon DSL router came with WEP encryption turned on by default and I needed to look at the manual to find the default key.
I subsequently change it to WPA, but that's for another day.

Sorry, I'm pretty good with computers, but how do u access the GUI?

Not having one, I can't give you the specifics, but in general you point your browser to
192.168.1.1
for most routers.
You will need the default userid and password which may be
userid = admin
password = password
Obviously once you access the GUI you should change the password before doing anything else.
My router is a Verizon/Westell 7500.
