iphone 2g screen help

i dropped my phone and it cracked the screen
but about 1/3 of the top part of the unbroken screen doesnt work
why is that
and how will it cost to get it fixed

Apple does not offer an a la carte repair service. They will sell you a replacement phone. You can google for repair shops that will repair your phone.

You can purchase the screen online and replace it yourself, or you can google some repair shops that do it. Here is a link to purchase the parts and do it yourself. They also have video tutorials on how to do everything as well.
