CD Burn Error 4450 - solved!

I kept getting the dreaded 'unknown error 4450' when burning from iTunes to CDs. Once I changed the burn speed to '12x', it worked fine! I wich I knew that before I wasted a stach of blank CD's 😟 I hope this helps some of you!

Still can't get past "Unknown Error" (4450) with CD Burn using Vista; tried reducing burn speed, but to no avail. Have spent lots of $$$ in ITunes store, but can't burn CDs. What????? Where is Apple in this??? Very frustrated.

Hello everyone, I've been surching quite everywhere about the "unknown error 4450" but nothing found. Does someone know how to resulf this problem??? Please help, because I'd like to burn my downloaded songs.. Thanks!!

Did you get resolution on this issue? My error messages are 4221 and 4280.

I am trying to burn cds with itunes music that I bought. The burner gets started, and then it quits. I get error numbers 4221 and 4280. Anyone have any suggestions?

I get the error 4450 quite frequently but not all of the time when trying to burn playlists. I have tried slowing the speed and also have bought different brands of discs but still get the error code. Help...

I too sporadically get error 4450 burn failed. It just started when I upgraded to Itunes 8.2. Besides reducing burn speed, are there any solutions is this a glitch in itunes 8? Very frustrating, lots of failed burns.(diagnostics in itunes says cd drive ok).

Hi all...

Im not sure if this problem has been solved for any of you or not but i have been most frustrated by the issue... until I came across the answer that solved the problem for me - It turns out that my HP printer was conflicting with itunes... which sounds crazy and yet its not first time that my printer has done something stupid... i got additional info from this genius.... below is the link, i hope it solves the problem for at least one of you!
