Moving photos from the Photo Library to the Camera Roll

Hi,

I have recently moved all of the photos on my camera roll into the photo library, however I want to put some back onto the camera roll, but I can't figure out how to. I realize that there probably is no way because of what both of these albums are actually for, but I was wondering if there was any way possible.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Photos in the camera roll are photos captured by your iPhone or are photos saved from a recieved email or from a website only.

Photos in the photo library are photos transferred from your computer to your iPhone via the iTunes sync process - selected under the Photos tab for your iPhone sync preferences.

You can't transfer photos from the camera roll to the photo library or vice-versa.

Why do you want to do this anyway?

Well I was able to move photos from the camera roll to the photo library by sending the pictures via email to my dad's blackberry, then saving them to my computer from his phone, then putting them back on into the photo library.

Theres really no particular reason that I want to do it other than being really nitpicky and anal retentive about this kind of thing. In other words theres really no reason except for that I, for some odd reason, beleive I have made my phone disorganized by doing that.

So theres no way to do what I did earlier, but in reverse? I dont mind if I have to take extra steps around like what I did to get camera roll photos into the library.

When your iPhone includes photos in the camera roll, it is also detected as a digital camera when connected to your computer. As with any other digital camera, these photos should be imported by your computer.

I always import such photos followed by deleting the photos from the camera roll after the import process is complete as I do after importing photos from any digital camera. if I want any of the imported photos to be available on my iPhone, I add the photos to an existing photo album that is selected under the Photos tab for my iPhone sync preferences, or add the photos to a new album followed by a sync.

Photos in your iPhone's camera roll should be treated as photos captured by any digital camera. They usually don't remain in the camera forever.

Photos in your iPhone's photo library are photos transferred from your computer to your iPhone via the iTunes sync process only.

You cannot transfer photos from your photo library to your camera roll and vice-versa.

With Windoze, you can use the camera and scanner wizard.

This is what I said originally.

Alright I guess that answers my question then. However, just as I said I was able to transfer photos from my camera roll to my photo library, so at least that is possible.

I never said that I did it directly, neither did I mean to imply that I was looking for a direct solution. This I guess is where our misunderstanding comes from. I just did not feel like repeating the whole process I went through. Regardless, I would rather this thread not derail into who said what and whose misunderstanding who. I now know that it is not possible to get pictures from the photo library to the camera roll in any way, so my question is answered for now at least.
