Deleting line-breaks in Text Edit?

I'm having to edit writing sent to me via email. Straight text. The sender's email app has stuck in line-breaks everywhere, and odd indented formatting.

Is there a way in Text Edit I can delete all the line-breaks, and perhaps remove the peculiar 'indents'?

I don't know about TextEdit, but do know Barebones Textwrangler has a search/replace identical to BBEdit. \r is the code to substitute for line breaks. You can save as different text file formats with Textwrangler. Note formatting of e-mail beyond ASCII is pretty unreliable as far as standerdizing across e-mail platforms.

Thank you a brody,

I've got TextWrangler. I'll try it. 'Pages' worked great for two paragraphs ... (using find and replace) but then stopped working ... for the other hundred paragraphs. Go figure.
