Dual Monitors FCP Question!

I have one 23" Apple Cinema Display that i have been using for the past year for editing using FCP 6.

I have bought a 32" Samsung LCD TV set, which i would like to use as my 2nd monitor. Here's the catch, my Samsung LCD TV set is positioned away from my work station and is not visible when i am in front of my computer. If i drag the "Canvas" window onto my Samsung LCD TV i need to leave my workstation to see if the "Canvas" is visible on my Samsung set. This is a problem because i cannot see where my playhead is, on the timeline. Do you see my dilemma. If there was a way to have 2x "Canvas" windows one on my Apple Display and one on my Samsung TV. If anybody knows how to solve this problem please let me know.

Reposition the Samsung TV. What good is having a second monitor if you can't see it?

Or, if you want to use it so other people can see what you're doing while you're working, open the Displays pane in System Preferences and set it so the new monitor mirrors the original monitor.

Thanks David for you swift response.

I understand your suggestion, the thing is the Samsung is my TV which stands in front of my bed. i realize that i can use the "Mirror Display" function in System Preferences, but then my clients will not see the preview full screen, which is the point of Dual Monitors.

I might just have to place my Samsung TV on my desk with the 23" Apple Display.

i wish there was a way to duplicate your "Canvas" window, using the one full screen on my Samsung and the other on my Apple Display.

isn't this what View menu > Video Playback > Digital Cinema Desktop - Preview is for?

that is exactly what i am doing now, but i was told that i would not get a proper HD signal, because i am just creating an extension of my desktop. well perhaps i should take his advice.
