I have a PowerBook G4 and a 4th generation iPod Classic. I want to use the iPod as a hard disc to take notes which I will transfer from the PowerBook. I follow all the instructions about enabling disc mode, but I cannot drag and drop a txt file from the PowerBook on to the iPod in iTunes. When I click on the My iPod icon on my desktop while I am in iTunes, there is only one item in it, and that is a How To documents. Nothing More. I believe there should be about three items in the iPod icon. I have tried to re-insert the original install disc, but it says I cannot do this with my PowerBook which is running OS X 10.4.11. Where can I go to download the relevant 'bits' that I am obviously missing. Thanks very much.

Hey there,
In order to put notes onto your iPod, you have to drag the note (which has to be in a .txt format) to the "Notes" folder of your iPod, which you can locate through Finder by clicking and opening up your iPod in a new Finder window. More help on putting notes onto your iPod can be found below. Hope this helps.
