Garageband Effects Not Working

Garageband Effects Not Working

I'm using a Tascam US-144 wGarageband.

All of the GB effects names come up, and when I click on one, the name shows in the Track Bar Box indicating which one I have selected. But the effect is not applied to the guitar sound.

Any idea what's going on?

are you monitoring from the interface? try using the computer:

Do you have your headphones plugged into the interface? Then you wouldn't hear the effects while recording.

Are the effects on the recorded track?

I plugged the headphones into the computer, and can now hear the effects. Thank you!

But I don't understand why I could hear the effects on my old US-122, and the mac mini I had at the time.

the newer model likely has a "zero latency" monitoring option which means you're listening directly to the guitar, not GB's output
