Connection to iTunes Store Timed Out

Cannnot connect to iTunes store... Cleaned registry, uninstalled/reinstalled iTunes, checked firewall and proxy settings, and msconfig...No luck.

Katrina, yes those are the instructions I used. I just executed the steps outlined three additional times (meticulously) and the issue I have is, at step 14, after restart, I do not receive the "Windows has blocked startup programs" message... System starts "normally", when I attempt to run iTunes I am informed that iTunes needs to repair software required to communicate with iPods and iPhones... Whether I choose to allow iTunes to restore these services or not, the outcome remains the same, "connection timed out" at iTunes store. Cannot download podcasts, cannot access internet through Quicktime either... Other than that Firefox works just fine.
