Hang Time...using Ozone 4 with GB and/or Logic???

Hang Time.... I recently downloaded Izotope Ozone 4 to my IMAC. I would like to try the mastering program as I've heard good things about it (Ozone). I know it's on my Mac but I can't seem to 'see' it in either GB or Logic Pro 8. If I click on the Ozone icon all it tells me is 'install Ozone'. But.... it's already installed! Any idea how I can use Ozone to 'master' a GB mix (or Logic mix)??. I just can't seem to 'find' it when in either GB or Logic. Thanks

IMAC 24 inch, Mac OS X (10.5.6), 2.8 ghtz Logic Pro 8 Axiom 61 Apogee Duet

Thanks for the instant response as always Hang! Izotope it is. It's not showing up as a plug in. Seems that perhaps it's a 'standalone' but there also seems to be no way for me to access it. I tried bouncing an AIFF mix file and then 'opening' Ozone but Ozone won't cooperate. When I try to 'open' Ozone I just get the 'install Ozone now" message. As mentioned... it IS installed. I will attempt to contact Izodope...err..I mean tope.

Hahahahaha. Sorry. I ended up dragging the Ozone 'icon' from Mac HD to my desktop. From there I opened the route you suggested. I looked in (Library/Audio/Plug- ins/Components. No sign of it. So I physically 'dragged' it (icon) to the components folder and dropped it in there. This time when I opened Logic (sorry again... I know this is a GB forum) it (Ozone) now shows up as an 'audio insert'. BTW, on first trial it really helps a 'mastering' rookie like me get acceptable pro sounding results. Better, imho, than the Logic presets. Ozone also provides some exemplary 'mastering' tutoring along with the product. Relatively inexpensive too Hang! Thanks for the heads up on the correct path to follow. I'm also relatively new to Mac (3 months). Once again, my first child will be Hang Time (or Sue). Hahahaha.

Thanks. It was your 'here's where to look' advice that made all the difference. BTW, I would highly recommend Ozone to anyone here on the forum. It really does perform as advertised especially if, like me, you are not yet a 'mastering' master. If you can muster up a decent sounding nicely balanced mix, Ozone will really add sparkle sheen and punch. ~King

Like HangTime suggested, folks like me will be reading these threads after the fact. I stumbled across a mention of Ozone in a few other GB threads and have been researching it for the past couple of days. I downloaded a great Ozone 4 tutorial PDF. You may already have it, but here is the link:

I've been recording my own music for the past few years. Started with ProTools but for the past year it's been exclusively GB. I've gotten pretty good at arranging, recording, and mixing my songs, but they still lacked that "radio quality". That's when I realized that I was still missing a big part of the equation... mastering. I have done a ton of reading on the topic, so I'm fairly familiar with the concepts and what is involved, but I have yet to get my feet wet. I've been searching for a decent mastering plug-in that will work well in GB and it seems like Ozone 4 might fit the bill.

If anyone uses Ozone 4, especially in GB, please let me know what you think. Thanks.
