I have a subscription to the US Holiday Calendar in my ical app on my computer. When my iphone syncs, it does not pick up that calendar. Is there a way to get my iphone to get that calendar? As far as I know, I can't download it directly to iphone. Any thoughts?

iphone 3g, Mac OS X (10.3.x)

Subscriptions are not currently supported. Subscriptions will be supported with firmware update 3.0 to be released this summer.

You can't download the subscribed calendar directly to your iPhone, but you can export the US Holidays subscribed calendar in iCal followed by importing the calendar which will be imported back into iCal as a non-subscribed calendar. Name the new Calendar for the imported US Holidays calendar Holidays instead of US Holidays since you can't have two Calendars in iCal with the same name.

Since US Holidays don't change, it won't make any difference syncing with a standard calendar for US Holidays instead of the subscribed US Holidays calendar. Deselect one of the calendars in iCal so both calendar events don't appear in iCal. This will be temporary until firmware update 3.0 is available.

That worked perfectly! Thank you Allan.
