Is it possible to morph a Safari browser page into a full screen kiosk mode (i.e. no tool bars, menu bars, etc.). I've read something about Saft as a possibility but know nothing of the program...any thoughts?
So if whoever make Saft have managed to get to make Safari run in full screen kiosk mode - how did they do that? i dont want to have to pay for extra software then discover 2 months down the line there is a variable you can tweak.
Comments from Safari developers would be nice here...
You can use javascript to resize the browser window but this isn't what i want - i want Safari to run full screen without any tool bars etc. just the web page - same way that you can with Internet Explorer in Windows using the '-k' commandline argument, if its not possible with Safari then looks like i'll have to look at implementing a Windows version - something i'd rather not do but i know it works.
The restricted user account that i have setup doesn't load the Dock or Menu bar and runs Safari as its shell. A mac-mini that its on is going to be linked to a large LCD screen and used as digital signage thing.
did you ever come up with a solution for the browser window? i am wanting to find something similar to do with my browser -- just page no other ancillary stuff.
