I have been a long-time Mac Evangelist, but I just became a realtor. It is vital to my job that I access the mlxchange (www.mlxchange.com). The site says that it is designed for IE6 for windows so I changed my user agent in Safari to Windows MSIE 6.0 (using Safari Enhancer). Now, the site thinks that I am using IE for windows, but it still will not load.

Does this have anything to do with the way that Safari handles Javascript? I need a workaround...please. Getting a PC is not an option.

BTW, I have also tried loading the page using Firefox, Opera, and IE for Mac, but I have had no luck.

Hi Christina,

I'm afraid your only alternative may be VirtualPC.

The problem is the website - they've coded explicitly to only cater for people running Windows (which kind of defeats the whole point of the World Wide Web notion).

This issue comes up on occasion. The problem is that MLS subcontracted with a group to do the search page. The group decided to make their realtors search incompatible with a Mac. The site ID's your browser as a Mac, & disables the search function. Fortunately, VPC Home Edition works just fine, & is well worth the $220 cost.
