iTunes Store Freezes

Hi there.
I open up my iTunes and go onto the store tab. But instead of loading the page, it just says "Accessing iTunes Store" and stays like that forever. It shows the progress bar all the way to the end, but it still won't load. It seems like it has been getting worse and worse. At first when I installed iTunes, it would just become unresponsive when I cliked on a link or tried to search. But now, it won't even open up the iTunes Store.
Please Help!
