On my recorded 'analog basic' track I have used my midi keyboards modwheel & pitchwheel at the very end of my loop. But when I loop it, the instrument remembers the last modwheel & pitchwheel settings and plays the rest in a different tone and modulation.
I have noticed the same problem when copy/pasting my loop behind one another.
Is it a known issue ? Can it be fixed ?
What you need do is return the mod and pitch wheel to a 'zero' point before it loops. Unless you 'reset' the pitch an modulation - they stay where ever they are left until Logic encounters a new setting.
Open up modulation display at the bottom of the piano roll editor. Zoom into the end and draw an appropriate value. Or you could look at the event list and write in a value.
Make sure that NO NOTE is being sounded at the point you write in the reset values - otherwise you will hear the results in the note being played. If you need to, turn loops into 'reall copies' and fix the the pitch and modwheel settings. You can then copy and paste this thru the rest of sequence.
You draw the values at the first tick of the loop.
Go to the Piano Roll Editor, click on the three thingies in the bottom left corner:
Click on the arrow-button
top left of the new field. A menu appears. Choose modulation. Now you can draw in a Modulation=0 event right at the beginning.
Same recipe for Pitch bend, though for that to be 0 the event must actually be at 64 - above the line "0" is indicated though.
I first thought there wasn't anything wrong, but played a bit with this tool and tried setting the beginning & end at correct value, and it's much better. Though I still have some annoying glitches ;
I'll try starting from scratch and correct this one by one.
