What do the popularity bars mean? How many downloads is one bar?

Hi,
I have several podcast and MP3s online in iTunes. I see a lot of popularity bars but I don't know what they mean. i.e. one bar equals how many clicks/downloads.
How can I get a statistics about my iTunes MP3s posted.

Thanx,
Mantra

If you are signed up directly to sell music tracks in the iTunes Store, you can get information from the iTunes Store per this FAQ:

http://www.apple.com/itunes/contentproviders/faq.html

If you are signed up through a label, the label should be able to obtain sales figures for you.

Most online stores do not, though, release information on how such "popularity" indicators are calculated so as to prevent the content owners from trying to "game" the system to get their item listed higher. So most likely all you'll get from the iTunes Store are the actual sales figures for your tracks. To the best of my knowledge, the iTunes Store will provide no statistics on podcasts.

Regards

BTW, just for clarity, your tracks are not "MP3" on the iTunes Store. The format the iTunes Store uses is 256 kbps AAC.
