Vibrate-only alarm?

Is there any way to make the iPhone alarm vibrate without ringing? Every other phone I've used has had that capability. I've tried creating a "silent" ringtone, but apple (of course) only allows purchased ringtones, and I can't even find something like that in the store.

Completely untrue. You can easily make your own ringtones, right in iTunes.

For a silent ringtone, already made, secondary-click THIS LINK and save the file. Double-click it and it should be imported to the Ringtones section of iTunes. Sync it to your phone, and choose that as the tone for the Clock alarm (custom ringtones are at the top of the list).
