How do I turn off album art?

I have sooooo many playlists that I'd rather view than album art. How do I turn album art off (and how to turn back on at a later date if I want)?

If you don't want to view artwork in iTunes then choose the List view instead of the Grid or Cover Flow views. In iTunes go to View>as List or click on the List view button, it's the third one in from the right beside the Search box. There's no specific view of playlists regardless of which library view you are using the playlists are visible in the Source pane. If you have a lot of playlists you might want to organise them using playlist folders: Organizing playlists into folders-Mac

I have sooooo many playlists

How many is "sooooo many "?
And why do you have "sooooo many"?
The more you have, the slower iTunes will be as it has to rewrite the iTunes library file and the iTunes library.xml file after you...
finish a song
change or add a rating
skip a song
change any song info.
Listen to 10 songs, rate 3, skip 4 more and both these files will have been rewritten 17 times.
