Start itunes without the phone connected and disable autosync in itunes/settings/devices
then connect the phone, is it charging?
Did you reset your phone by holding the sleep and home button until you see the Apple logo?
Did you reinstall itunes and Apple mobile device service?

If you can do this without problems you'll have to check your other windows account for software conflicts which causes itunes to freeze.MBP 17'' 2,16GHz, Mac OS X (10.5.6), iMac 2,4Ghz, ipod 5G, iPhone3G, ipod touch 2ndGen
