perter1039,

I'm sorry I meant a new User on your mac not on the app. I was trying to rule out a user specific error. Like a plist file located in Macintosh HD -> User -> Your User -> Library -> Preferences. A lot of the times there is a preference (plist) file that you can delete and it fixes some of or all the errors people are experiencing in apps. Or possible cache file corruption in the Your User -> Library folder. It easy to have you make a new user to test this then for me to guess possible plist or cache files in your users library.

Hope that helps,
Weston

peter1039,

Have you tried the stuff listed below and linked here: http://magnifique.pcwizcomputer.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=134

So, you installed a theme and you can't put things back. What do you do? I'll go through each of the things you should try in order:

Use the "Uninstall Theme" button

Magnifique has the "Uninstall Theme" button for a reason. Use it. If it fails to uninstall everything properly, then restart your computer to get things fresh. Then reinstall the theme and try uninstalling it again. For some themes you need to restart the computer before everything is uninstalled.

Install the Original Leopard r2 theme

The theme Original Leopard r2 from our repository contains all the basic elements of the original Leopard look. Installing this, in many cases will fix basic issues. Use Magnifique to install this theme and then reboot.

Use the Uninstaller from the official iLeopard DMG package

The uninstaller package included with the official iLeopard DMG does an excellent job at doing a "deep clean" of your system and restoring back a ton of original OS X Leopard interface elements. The DMG can be downloaded here. After downloading, mount the DMG and run Uninstaller.pkg, then reboot.

Check the backup folder for the theme

Navigate to /Library/Application Support/Magnifique/Backups-Custom. In that folder find the folder for your theme and look inside. In most cases this will contain a backup of any apps or Leopard interface elements modified before the theme, and you can manually put these back to their locations. If you need help with this, feel free to post in our forum

Use the Magnifique Command Line restore script

This is an ABSOLUTE last resort, and only to be used if you cannot boot your computer. Start up into single user mode (Command + S on a mac, or boot flag -s on OSx86 PC) and then run the following commands (1 command per line, press Enter after each command):

Code:
mount -uw /
/magnifique_restore

Wait till the script finishes restoring and then start the computer normally.

Those steps should fix almost 100% of problems, if you are still having trouble then please post in the Help & Support forum

Hope that helps,
Weston
