How to quit dashboard client?

I've been trying to download Adobe Flash Player, and in order to do that, I have to exit out of everything. To the best of my knowledge, I have, but I now have two instances of "dashboard client" that runs and won't allow me to install Flash. What is this, and what can I do to fix it?

That means you have two Dashboard widgets running on your Dashboard. Close the widgets to shut down the client processes. However, these should in no way inhibit installing Adobe Flash Player.

Wow. How annoying. I've never had to quit widgets before to install anything. (Adobe makes thing more complicated every year.)

Click on the Widgets on your Dock (or press F12). Then click on the big + link to edit which widgets shows, and close each widget that's open. You should now be able to install the upgrade.

I have closed all widgets and the installer is still telling me that I need to close dashboard client before it will install. I can find anything else to close? I even tried the unistaller and it has the same issue? The only widget still running is the world clock and it wont let me close it?
