2 channel xFader control.

I made a 2 channel xFader. For now I can control it by selecting Modulation from the menu. I use Roland D-50 and it's more convenient to use the Pitch bend function of the joystic. Yes, but I don't see such an option in the menu. Or maybe it's under a different name. Does anyone knows which one of the rest 127 options it could be?

Do you want to cross-fade two channel strips in Logic? If you do, the answer is simple:

in the Environment:
select Menu>New>Monitor.
connect that to Click & Ports. (The connection should go from Click & Ports>Keyboard or Input View to your new Monitor)

select Menu>New>Transformer. (You will need two of these)
connect the Monitor to both Transformers.
connect one Transformer to fader A
connect the other Transformer to fader B

open Transformer 1 & change the settings to:
Status = Control
Data Byte 1 upper box = your control number from the Roland (you can find that by moving the controller & looking at the Transport window)
Data Byte 1 lower box = Fix. Set the number in the box below to 7 (volume)

Do the same for Transformer 2 and add this change:
Data Byte 2 lower box = Reverse

Move your controller & one fader should go up whilst the other goes down.

It looks complicated, but it is easy to do.
Start to study the section on Environment in the manual.

That's not the problem. I made xFader, it's easy. The problem is that I want to control it with the Pitch bend, not with the Modulation wheel. Unfortunately I don't see this option in the list of controls.

Read this again:

"Data Byte 1 upper box = *your control number from the Roland (you can find that by moving the controller & looking at the Transport window)*"

Simply move your pitch bend controller & check its control change number. In the MIDI section of the Transport window you will see the Pitch Bend control number. Enter that into Data Byte 1 upper box.

You won't see the pitch bend option in the list of controls.

2 channel xFader control.
