iphone setup on friends PC, now I want to connect it to my itunes account

Hi.

I had no PC so got an iphone thinking I could just use that for browsing.
On opening up I realised you had to connect to itunes so used a friends PC and there itunes account to get me going.
So I bought a PC, created my itunes account and tried to d/l apps on iphone and it says 'authorisation failed, please connect to itunes'
I'm thinking I may need to restart my iphone from scratch, is that correct?

Thanks

Dave

You should be able to sign in to your itunes account your own computer, then sync your iphone. This will erase the itunes content that is currently on iphone (iphone will sync with only one computer at a time) and replace it with content from your computer. This should also put you itunes account on the iphone.

Make sure that you have at least one contact and calendar entry on your computer and select merge data when you first sync. If you do not, your contacts and calendars will be erased as well.

In regards to iTunes content, an iPhone can be synced with an iTunes library on a single computer only. The iTunes account that is available on your iPhone is transferred to your iPhone via the iTunes sync process - with the iTunes account you are logged in with iTunes when syncing.

You need to sync your iPhone with iTunes on your computer when logged in with your iTunes account. This will erase any iTunes content that was transferred to your iPhone from your friend's computer.
