Outlook Web Access not working in Safari or any other browse

When I try to access OWA from ANY browser, Safari, IE, or Firefox, I get the same error.

"You could not be logged on to Outlook Web Access. Make sure your User Name and Password are correct, and then try again."

When I log in from my PC, I don't have this problem.

The IT guys at work claim that they won't support Mac problems. Typical....

Any thoughts?

LS :
I have recently upgrade to Tiger. With 10.3, I had no problems whatsoever to log in to my companies mail server, using OWA and Safari.
With Tiger, I still can log in, sometimes...
Main issue seems to be the log in and password. I. e. sometimes it just does not work, log on is being refused. No typo's, as I copy and paste the input nowadays(just to be absolutely sure).
Sometimes, I'm logged in, and when opening a new mail I'm prompted again for log in and PW...
Again, this only in Tiger, before it worked perfect.
Anybody having a solution?

I'm with an urban School District in Pennsylvania. We use Outlook Web Access. We had few problems with ANY browser (as long as we got all of the settings right) until Safari 2.0 - packaged with Tiger 10.4 - the user is required to reauthenticate username & password at almost every step - open message, close message, new message, delete message, open folder, etc.
I've checked on a regular basis with Apple & Microsoft, but haven't found a fix yet. I've tried each update of Safari to try and 'fix' the issue - no soap.
I'll be watching!

I think I got "good" news... Tried to access our OWA via Firefox, and it works! Settings are now stored again, allowing automatic log-in, just as it used to work on 10.3... Problem should be with Safari, not with Tiger.
The bad news is that "our" web browser doesn't work, while a 3rd party product does...

Don't know if this will help, but are you providing the correct credentials via Safari? When you use IE, you are presented with a dialog box that asks for userid, password, and domain name. Safari and other browsers will only ask for the userid and password. Consequently, when using these browsers, you need to preface your userid with the domain name followed by a backslash. For example:

mydomain\jsmith

While Safari works with OWA, it has an annoying habit of requesting the username and password frequently as you navigate through OWA. I also find that I occasionally have to to click twice on a button to get Safari to activate a command such as reading a message or the Send button. I now use Camino for OWA access. It's cleaner and faster.

I have no problems accessing OWA using Safari (but I mostly use Firefox..).

However, I do have problems accessing the web from work. Safari (and other Apple access, like Software Update) just keep popping up the sign on dialog. I put the data in correctly, but never get anywhere.... just a continual stream of sign on dialogs.

I have set Safari to remember my password, and I have tried using the
domain\userid format as well.

I even tried using an invalid password numerous times, and my account never got locked out...... which to me sounds like the data is never getting to the proxy?

Any ideas?

(by the way.. Firefox works fine accessing the internet in the above situation)

Thanks
Mark
