Does iPod have problem with VBR?
I was listening to an audiobook downloaded from my public library and every 15s or so there is a slight skipping, where most of a syllable is missing.
I had heard that the iPod has problems playing VBR MP3s, see for example this link: http://txfx.net/2005/02/08/vbr-mp3-fix/
In the end it turns out the original MP3 is the problem, not the iPod, since it skips on my PC also, however it did raise the question that I can't seem to find a definitive answer to:
Does the iPod classic have issues playing VBR MP3s? is the problem mentioned in the link above valid, or has this been fixed since the article was publixhed?
