FxFactory Plugins Causing Audio Bug

Hiya,

So...I seem to be dealing with a bug within FCP when Noise Industries FxFactory plugins are installed. I'm confident that I've narrowed it down to this plugin suite.

Basically, when FxFactory is installed and Final Cut is running, if you affect any of the audio meters in the Audio Mixer window, the video lags to a stuttering stop and no level information is imparted to the tracks.

I can level the audio when the playhead is at a standstill and not playing, but one cannot mix live.

I'm curious if anyone is suffering the same issue, or knows of any patch, as we need to be able to mix live and utilize these plugins if possible.

What version of FX Factory? I have no problems with their plugins. Of course I can't run their newest because it requires Leopard.

I've contacted Noise Industries, they're only just aware of this for the past 2 weeks.

I'm running FxFactory 2.07 (the newest release) on a Mac OS 10.5.5 machine.

I appreciate your comments, was curious, outside of Noise Industries' techies, if anyone was experiencing the same, and if possible, had an idea of how to fix it.

I'm having the same problem... I have FCP express and pro on the same system. When I run FCP I get a lag in the sound and the video starts to shutter alot. I work on the same project in FCPE it works fine... Both are on the same External Hard drive Firewire 800 Lacie & Drobo.... I just uninstalled my FxFactory 2.06 and nothing changed.... Anyone else having the same problem...

I have been troubleshooting the same exact problem the original poster is talking about. It feels like a conflict (maybe with a plugin- FX Factory does seem to be running in the bg).
I also wrote to FX Factory.

For the benefit of anyone watching this thread (or simply stumbling upon it during a search) the issue was discovered and fixed in FxFactory 2.0.7. If you experience this problem, please download and install a fresh copy of FxFactory from our website:

I am using FxFactory 2.0.8 and still having the same issues -- any suggestions?

I had issues with some FX Factory Plug-Ins a couple of months ago on my G5. (Before the logic board died.) Turned out to be Safari 4 beta was the cause of the problem.
