Using Safari with SAP Websites

I work with SAP software on a daily basis. I use the websites provided by SAP:
http://sdn.sap.com and http://service.sap.com

Once I have logged in, web pages are not fed back properly. They come through sometimes just a half of the page. Sometimes, none of the page. Sometimes I get the whole page, but all the links dont work.

I also have a similar situation with websites where the first request from a new link to another page wont work the first try, but then if I hit refresh, I get a working page. It has happened in upwards of 6 to 8 times in a row...

Has anyone else had this issue?

Craig,

Welcome to Apple Discussions.

Me too, and I must admit I don't like it at all...(the only program I've used so far that uses Ctrl-86 to print...)

Have you tried it with other browsers, even IE for Mac? If it works with IE you might try Safari with the debug menu enabled. It will trick the other side and make it believe you're using IE.

JJ,

I have tried this with other browsers. In fact, I have virtual PC configured and I am even using IE there. The IE within the virtual PC interface works fine.

When I use IE from my MAC I think it works ok, however, I think I am having another problem with the MAC version of IE.

While i have you here, do you run SAP GUI on your mac? Are you a developer or end user of the SAP GUI and if so, are you running the GUI and if you are, would you happen to use virtual PC to run the gui? I am having other issues I am trying to research now as well...

Thanks for replying. I appreciate it.

I hadnt tried firefox, but I will. Its the only one I havent tried. I feel mac OSX Tiger has some networking bugs as well, which may be compounding my current issues.

We have a novell network here. None of PC buddies have issues, but when I plug that network in, after just a few minutes, my computer wont respond to anything. It also started last night on my wireless network. It might not even be an SAP thing necessarily for me, but a network issue.

Thanks for your response once again. I think we are really in the minority on this issue, SAP and MAC... 🙂
