Mac Book Pro 32 bit or 64 bit

I am having a 15 inch Mac Book Pro
I just wanna confirm about processor
Is it 32 bit or 64 bit processor?

Hi mahender,

all MacBook Pros since the Late 2006 models (released Ocober, 24th 2006) do have a 64-bit Intel processor.
Only the very firt 2006 models had an Intel Core Duo processor which is a 32-bit.

It shows
Processor and memory
2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor with 3MB on-chip shared L2 cache running 1:1 with processor speed; or 2.53GHz or 2.8GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor with 6MB shared L2 cache

All of the Core 2 Dup chips used in MBPs are 64-bit. The previous Core Duo (no '2' in there) used in the very first release of the MBP are 32-bit. If you have a Core 2 Duo processor, it's 64-bit.

In Intel terminology, Core processors = 32-bit and Core 2 = 64-bit (available in Solo, Duo, Quad, and Extreme flavors). See this wiki.

neuro was faster and said it all: Core Duo is 32-bit and Core 2 Duo is 64-bit processor.
