Safari keeps freezing/locking up

Hello. I've been reading a few of the threads here and I have tried a few of the following things before posting this:
uninstalled and reinstalled the newest version of the flash player.
renamed the hard drive.
checked for multiple internet plug ins.

I can usually open up Safari and use it for a few minutes depending on how many sites I visit, but after I click a few bookmarked links it will usually just hang and then I notice my computer starts getting loud (like the fan is kicking on, but more like a plane taking off) then I have to force quit it.

I want copied the report that you send to apple, but when I pasted it here it says its too long.
I checked my crashlog but could not find one regarding this issue.

Sorry I feel like a novice, but any advice would be awesome.

This has happened to me with every release of Safari 4 from the first beta up to the final release.

It always happens with http://rogerhedgecock.com/

Most annoying, it often happens on a search in Apple Discussions.

The gear is turning but Safari becomes completely unresponsive. Activity Monitor shows little or no data transfer. Sometimes Activity Monitor Quit will stop it. Other times it takes an Activity Monitor Force Quit.
