Ok, seems like these macs have a few issues when it comes to burning DVD's. I burned one dvd successfully using roxio toast Titanium 9, the disk was burned at best quality, and the dvd works fine in all players i have tried so far. Went to make a copy of the dvd not twenty minutes later and have yet been able to start up the burning process. I keep getting these pop ups. WHat i want to know is if this warning has to do with my software or hardware? This is also my first time burning a DVD. Any help would be great.

I found that the Verbatim DVD-R disks worked but the Maxell brand did not. Go figure. It would seem to be some kind of software/firmware problem since this fault only crept up since a few years ago (2007 or so) after going to one of the middle OS X 10.4 versions.

Use the Verbatim. I now only use the Maxell on my newer MacBook.

Any other help on this would be appreciated. My old G4 Tower is still cooking.
