Yes, that would be correct in our understanding that you will not hear any scratching noises. I have noticed in CD's that were scratched did result in a song with a flaw, skip or (whatever you wanna call it) embedded in the playback of that MP3.
And if a flaw or skip was the result of a scratched CD, then if that was detected with software or some program that could analyze the song.
I haven't had any luck with repairing scratched CD's. But they do taste better with peanut butter... LOL
I'm not the type of guy who allows my eclectic CD collection to become abused in any way. These CD's are used & second hand that I pick up from at various places.
