Hello, Are there any other Canadians who have a problem with entering your postal code in a form using Safari? Whenever I try it replaces the letters with dashes. Does anyone know how to work around this? It's annoying having to switch to another web browser to use some websites. An sample website is www.canada.com trying to use the television listings.

Hi, Joanne, welcome to user-to-user discussion forums.

It is not just Canadian postal codes - the first digit of US zip codes gets deleted. I would send in a bug report using "Report Bugs to Apple" under the Safari menu.

When I enter the Canadian Postal Code L0L 1R0 on the page listed below, it works with no problem at all:
] http://www.canada.com/entertainment/television/index.html

My default encoding method for character sets is set to Western (Mac OS Roman) and it also worked when set to Western (ISO Latin 1) and Unicode (UTF-8) but, that said, I did not try any others. What is your's set to, or what other variable could account for the substitution of letters by dashes?

Thanks Michael and Tom! I tried my work postal code and it works. Turns out it doesn't like the first 5 (in V5T). If I put another number after the V, it works. So now I can at least get my TV listings. I'll report it to Apple to see if they can fix it.
