Pulling music off iPhone with 3rd party software.....

Ok, here's the deal:

My macbook pro died. Apple revived it, but not before wiping it completely. In the meantime, I decided to upgrade to a new Macbook pro. Now I can't put the music that's on my iPhone (from my old laptop) on my new laptop and I can't put any music from my new laptop onto my iPhone, whether it's been downloaded from iTunes or burt from a CD or downloaded some other way, effectively creating two completely distinct music libraries. I have contacted Apple and they say this can't be done using any Apple software and gently suggested 3rd party software, but of course didn't tell me what software to try.

What I want to do it pull all my music off of my iPhone onto my laptop and then re-sync it with my laptop.
Any ideas?

My MacBook Pro crashed a few months ago. There was some discussion about whether or not the iPhone would do a true sync anyway because it is set up differently than the iPod. For example, if I buy songs with my iPhone, they sync back to my computer, so why wouldn't it do that with all of my music, videos, apps, etc. I was too chicken to try. So, I used Senuti and it was awesome! I got everything back with virtually no anxiety. 😉

Since the crash, I am a hardcore fan of Time Machine. I bought a 320 GB hard drive and I run Time Machine daily. That way I know I'm completely backed up no matter what happens. Just something to consider . . .
