RME MADIface & Logic Studio

Hi Everyone,

I am trying to find some recording software that i can use with an RME MADIface interface. Does anyone have experience of this with Logic?

I am trying to record and playback 56 channels from a Madi stream from a digital board. onto my MBP.

A colleague has got the system working in Boot Camp with Pyramix but i'm looking for a more native solution.

Any ideas welcome, tell me what you know!

I've used this with Logic and it operates flawlessly. The MIDI over MADI protocol works well too.

Works like any other interface - the only difference being the huge number of IO available.....

Well worth the money.

Hi Nealsny,

I've been trying this for a few days now and it seems that logic locks up and crashes the whole system on a fairly regular but random basis.

Have you ever had any problems like this?

If i run the same session but without the MADIface card, it runs perfectly.

I've tried a new user account but still no joy and nothing appears in the console crash reporter.

Just tried upgrading to 4GB of ram but again, no difference.

Any ideas?
