Maya 2009 on a Power Mac

Hi guys, i have a big problem: i tried to install Maya 2009 for Mac Os on my Power Pc dual 2.3 with leopard 10.5.6 but it wont work, i receive this error message: "This software is not supported by this architectur". I have Maya installed on my iMac Intel and it works. So the problem should be with Power mac?
Any ideas?

Thanks a lot!

Rosetta is used only on Intel machines to run older PowerPC-only programs. It is not available the other way around.

In theory, you could run the Windows version in VirtualPC for Mac. However, it is painfully slow (multiply your existing CPU speed by 20% and that's the speed of the emulated Pentium II), and you wouldn't get any GPU acceleration. Based on this, you wouldn't meet the minimum system specs for Windows, either.
