Camino is a native Cocoa program, which means it is a native OS X program and will recognize the Services menu. Firefox is not. Both are based on Mozilla. Firefox tends to come out with updates more often. Firefox has tons of themes and extensions so that you can customize the browser and add features.
They are both excellent browsers. I tend to favor Firefox, partly because of the extensions, and partly because there is something in some of Camino's renderings that I don't like - but this is purely a subjective call.
I mostly go back and forth between Safari and Firefox - these are my favorite browsers.
Thanks for the helpful info Tom! I am perfectly happy with Firefox & use all kinds of extensions with it, and was just wondering if Camino was really much different (other than being native to OSX). I think I'll stick w/Firefox for now.
I absolutely love firefox. When i was still using OS 9.2, I couldn't wait to upgrade so I could use safari and stop using ie. But, when I actually got into it I wasn't very impressed. I tried firefox and it's been awesome. The extensions for it are basically limitless. The adblocker has been incredible and their popup blocker is top notch as well. I must have about 40 different extensions that I use and on top of that I like changing the theme to firefox often as well. I haven't found anywhere near as many options for safari as I had for firefox.
