ical show only one calendar

I want to see only one calendar. The only way I see to do this is to de-select all the other ones. Is there a faster way to do this?

Related issue: once I have one calendar selected, I would like to see a list view of all the items for that calendar. There are some calendars that I suspect have no future events on them, and if so, I want to delete them. But first I want to make sure I won't lose any events.

Thank you!

From memory (I can't confirm this right now), if you Cmd-Click one calendar's check box all of the calendars are checked/un-checked at once. You can then just check the one you're interested in. See the Help menu in iCal for the short-cuts list in the application.

Best wishes

No.

Just use the " (quotation mark) character in the search field. You can then filter by Calendar/Date/Type/Title.

Thanks Ferd.

Searching with quotes doesn't quite do the trick. I want to limit the search to a single calendar. For example, I have a calendar called "meetings" but when I search for the word "meetings" in quotes I get events that contain the text "meetings" but not all events on the calendar called "meetings". I want to limit a search to a specific calendar. Any thoughts?

Regarding the first - seeing only one calendar - thank you for the confirmation it can't be done. I will make a feature request.

Thanks again.

If you enter only the qoute character (") in the search field, "you can then filter by Calendar/Date/Type/Title." In other words, when the search results pane appears, click on the calendar column to view events sorted by calendar name.

That technique should work with any search term.

I am not currently posting from my Mac...what happens in search if you uncheck all other calendars except the "meetings" calendar?

;~)
