Need to BLOCK World of Warcraft - HOW?

I have an Apple Extreme. I'm using windows (shhh!)

I need to know how to block World of Warcraft from being accessed by any computer on my wireless network. I know the port for WOW is 3724.

How do I block access to WOW using the Airport Utility?

Son is coming home from college and he is NOT going to play this 24/7 all summer. I'd rather block WOW than all his internet access.

Airport Extreme, Windows XP, SP3

I figured it out. You can't block specific IPs or ports on the AEBS. I wound up using OpenDNS (find it at OpenDNS.com - it's free) - just pointed my AEBS to OpenDNS servers.

I can control which sites can be accessed through the DNS. I just blocked all the gaming sites, worldofwarcraft.com, wowstatus.net, us.logon.worldofwarcraft.com, us.version.worldofwarcraft.com.

That appears to do the trick.

Could you please provide more specifics on what you did? I am not familiar with Open DNS servers, I feel you on the WOW as my sister complains about the addiction, but my nemesis is Facebook.com. That is basically crack for teenagers, since my wife uses it for college buddies I would love to learn how to limit the times ( during the day) that it can be accessed or when he should be sleeping. I can block it from my computer but he can get it on his iPhone or laptop or just have a friend bring his laptop, I need to block it from my wireless network. This will save my sanity and give me good discipline -reward/punishment control. Thanks alot

OpenDNS provides DNS service which you can use to replace the service provided by your ISP. DNS is basically the Internet equivalent of a phone book. You type in a URL and DNS converts this to the appropriate IP address.

OpenDNS provides free use of a pair of name servers. You can use these servers by entering their respective IP addresses in either your router or an individual computer network settings. The site provides a clear set of directions on how to do this. In addition, you can open a free user account where you can control access to where you don't want access to on the Internet.
