Safari cookies return after being deleted.

I have reset safari, I have manually deleted them only to have them return before i'm done! I've gone to Adolbe flash site and set it to zero, but the safari cookies keep returning! Something corrupt? Help on this one please!

HI Michael,

Go to Safari/Preferences and click the Security tab. Where you see Accept Cookies, make sure just this tab is checked; Never.

Only drawback on that is some sites require using cookies in order to gain access to their content.

A cookie is a small file created by a website to store information. The cookie is stored on your computer. *Cookies are normally helpful and harmless; it’s rare to encounter a bad cookie*.

When you visit a website that uses cookies, the site asks Safari to put cookies on your computer. When you return to the site later, Safari sends back the cookies that belong to the site. The cookies tell the site who you are so that the site can show you information that’s appropriate for you.

Cookies can store information that identifies you, such as your name and email address. A website has access only to the information you provide. For example, a website can’t determine your email address unless you provide it. A website can’t gain access to other information on your computer.

When you use the default cookie preferences in Safari, you won’t know when Safari is accepting or sending cookies.

You can change your cookies preferences so that Safari doesn’t accept cookies or accepts them only from limited sources.

I've learned over time that there is no way to permanently get rid of cookies - that is just how it is; every site wants to know if you've been there before. I also learned that if I delete cookies from my bank or other site that requires a secure login, I've gotten a "we do not recognize this computer; please call xxx.xxx.xxxx". So, when I'm done for the day and have been to quite a few sites that day, I will check and delete all cookies other than those from my bank, etc. - knowing full well that they'll be back. They really do no harm (except telling the website owner that you've been there before) and are relatively small files, but I clean them out anyway - again and again.

Here is some thing I have found out. I would sign into a site and it would only place it's cookie. Then I would check never accept visit the next site that I needed to sign into allow it to place it's cookie and then check never accept. Each time I did this I check to see what cookie were present an only those site that I had just sing into were their.

Now check this out! When I sign into my flickr account ALL the cookies came back! And I was on topsites page! Now go figure because i'm out of options and i'm going to call apple. I'd love more advice please.
