Nov 25, 2009 3:21 PM in response to EdHartby Wolf,I had this problem on the old OS9 version.
Drawing in a little fade-out at the end of the last track
was the solution then.
I never had any problems in WB since using an external FW-Burner,
a Lacie, on a seperate FW bus (via pci card). -
Nov 26, 2009 11:33 AM in response to philthyphilby EdHart,Today my new internal dvd writer arrived. After installing it, I burned a few audio master cd's.
None of them had the loud pop at the end of the session. -
Nov 27, 2009 2:48 AM in response to Wolfby EdHart,Fade-out at the end made no difference.
But erasing Cd text and Isrc code and uncheck it, did avoid the loud pop at the end.
I am convinced it's not a WaveBurner problem. It also happens with another mastering program in Bootcamp.
Anyway, with my new DVD writer the problem has gone. -
Nov 29, 2009 8:25 PM in response to philthyphilby bradsarno,I just found this on another forum and am testing it at the moment:
And, I totally found the problem, too... It's the SCMS settings in the "PQ Codes" section when you look at the data for each CD track. The settings in the file I downloaded were set to "protected original". I changed them all to "free", burned it again, and the pops were gone...
Give it a whirl! Cool -
Nov 29, 2009 8:46 PM in response to bradsarnoby bradsarno,I just tested this theory and it DIT NOT FIX MY PROBLEM. My "pop" occurs where I dropped a marker in the middle of an audio file. When playing the burned CD, there's a tiny tick or pop at the transition. Still broken in 1.6.0 and 1.6.1.

Dec 2, 2009 1:27 AM in response to bradsarnoby EdHart,All my burned cd's that contained the loud pop at the end were set to "free".
Unchecking all cd text etc. avoids the loud pop.
Or use a CD burner that supports DAO.(Not DVD at once).
