Terminal opening at start up for no reason - how to stop it

Hi,

I have a new Macbook Pro 17 inch that I have had for a week. I moved everything over from a 15 in PowerBook without incident. After a day of learning the trackpad, I did a software update. There were several updates to be applied - one of which had something to do with java as I recall.

Now at start up, the terminal opens with a log referencing Java and ending with "Process complete". Apparently it is logging the opening of java for some reason. I have a pdf of the entire log.

How do I stop this opening of the Terminal at start up? Thanks

Macbook Pro 17 inch, Mac OS X (10.5.6)
