Irregularly Recurring Events?

I am a teacher with a rotating class schedule. I would like to be able to post a specific event by calendar date, not the same day of the week or month, but pick the days on the calendar that the event recurs. Something like, Sept 5, 14, 20, Oct 3, 10, 17.... Is this possible?

Not as a repeating event, no, not unless there's a trick I haven't heard of. The only way I can think of to handle this would be to create one instance of the event, then duplicate it (as many times as necessary) and change the date for each duplicate. Or if there's any sort of pattern to any of the occurrences - that is, it happens on the 5th of every month, the 14th of every month, the 20th, etc. - then create multiple repeating events, one for each of those regularly-occurring intervals (i.e. one repeating event for the 5th, another for the 14th, etc.).

Regards.

Ah yes, I see what you mean.

I just tried and there might be another workaround but it is probably a bit faffier than the duplicate > re-date one posted earlier and I admit not to have given it a try.

A bit like alarms have first and second and ... it seems that repeats also have sub-options (not tried).

I'm glad you posted as it makes stuff a lot easier for me.

Maybe there should be an irregular repeat option that encapsulates the duplicate > re-date workaround?

Repeats > irregular > date #1, date #2, ... , date#n?
